The Concept

Core Idea

"Tapped In" is a fully-conceived, campaign-ready rap project celebrating Wisconsin's unique water culture through two distinct voices:

  • Lil' Bubblr – The "Bubbler King" of Wisconsin rap, obsessed with drinking fountains (bubblers), city blocks, and staying hydrated
  • Shad Rapp – A fishing duo turning lakes, docks, ice shacks, and Friday fish fries into hooks and verses

Why It Works

  • ✓ Leverages distinctly Wisconsin slang ("bubbler" vs "water fountain")
  • ✓ Taps into statewide fish fry and lake culture
  • ✓ Uses Milwaukee's DIY, bass-heavy "low-end" sound
  • ✓ Hyper-local but universally relatable
  • ✓ Viral-ready hook concept

Complete Lyrics

Official lyrics for Lil' Bubblr x Shad Rapp - Tapped-In

[Intro – Lil' Bubblr]
Yeah…
414 to every shoreline, we stay… tapped in.
Turn the handle, let it bubble.

[Hook – Lil' Bubblr]
Tapped in, from the hallway to the lake foam,
Bubblin' up, keep the pressure in that H2O.
If you call it "water fountain," then you not from home,
Lil' Bubblr got 'em soaked before the first trombone.
Tapped in, Friday night, hit the fish fry,
Perch on the plate, steam risin' to the big sky.
Shad Rapp on the dock, lines in like Wi‑Fi,
Whole state wavy, midwest drip, no high tide.

[Verse 1 – Lil' Bubblr]
Hit the park, kids lined at the bubbler like a meet‑and‑greet,
Chrome head shining, little puddles by my sneakers squeak.
You say "fountain," I just smile, that's the out‑of‑towner speech,
Round here it's "bubbler," that's the code, it's how the Badgers speak.
City blocks echo bass, low‑end in the backseat,
Windows down, lake breeze dancin' on the concrete.
From Milwaukee over to the cap' in Madison,
Every bar has fish on Friday, that's the medicine.
Brandy Old Fashioned, orange peel, cherry drop,
Perch filets stack like we tryna hit the top.
Cheese curd squeak when the DJ drops the beat,
Hydrate, celebrate, that's tradition on repeat.

[Pre‑Hook – Lil' Bubblr]
Turn the handle, let it bubble, feel the hometown pride,
Every sip is like a memory of shoreline rides.
From the tap to the river to the big Great Lakes,
We don't dry out, nah, we just make waves.

[Verse 2 – Shad Rapp]
Yeah, sun up, boat launch, cooler packed tight,
Headed "up North," chase walleye in the dawn light.
Lines cast smooth, ripples spread in a slow ring,
Every little twitch got the tip of that pole sing.
Perch in the basket, bass on the graph,
Bluegill for the kids, whole crew gon' laugh.
From Mendota down to Koshkonong we roam,
Every shoreline tavern feel a little like home.
Old neon humming, fish fry on the chalk sign,
Cod, perch, haddock, coleslaw on the side line.
Plates come clatterin', stories get loud,
We the soundtrack of the lake‑town crowd.v

[Bridge – Lil' Bubblr & Shad Rapp]
Bubble in the glass, drip from the tap line,
City in my voice, but I'm thinkin' 'bout the bass line.
Minnow on the hook, drop it through the ice hole,
Frozen fingers warm when we hear that mic roll.
Water in the veins, yeah, that's how we stay alive,
From the bubbler to the boat, that's the midwest drive.
Turn it on, let it run, never shut it in,
When the flow this clean, yeah, we stay tapped in.

[Outro]
From the dock lights glow to the bubbler in the gym,
This that freshwater anthem, let the whole state swim.
Yeah… stay hydrated.
We tapped in.
